NAGPUR: Though a agriculture research institute is not primarily responsible for taking its knowledge to farmers, effective transfer of technologies and information directly with beneficiaries is always a desirable thing. City-based Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR) has begun to do precisely this with its 'e-kapas' network, a crop advisory service for cotton farmers across the country.
