AURANGABAD: Armed by the timely arrival of monsoon and satisfactory amount of rainfall, the farmers in the drought hit areas of the district have completed nearly 97 per cent sowing for kharif cultivation. The agriculture department has set a target of 6,29,000 hectares of land under kharif cultivation in the current season and the farmers have finished sowing in 6,11,000 hectares.
